ComedySportz for Kidz Elementary schools, libraries, youth groups, camps and families with 20 or more kids (good luck with that!), ComedySportz for Kidz could be for you!
Interactive Students and teachers are involved in hands-on learning, whether giving suggestions or even volunteering to be a part of the show! Every show is different because every audience is different.
Improvisational Because we don't rely on a script, each show can also be tailor-made to coordinate with lesson plans, reading programs, and holiday or seasonal festivities.
Experience The ComedySportz Improv Show for Kidz teaches skills like listening, being less judgmental of others' ideas, socialization, team work, exposure to the arts, critical thinking, quicker thinking and public speaking. PLUS it's FUN!
Our Kidz show is designed to be fun for kids as well as teachers; it's easy to schedule, as it is a small production and adaptable to time and space constraints; it uses kid-involvement to help make the show memorable and give hands-on learning about improvisation; and it teaches subtle lessons that easily tie in to the classroom and New York State Educational Standards. ComedySportz for Kidz is unique from other shows and never the same show twice in itself.
Prior to the performance, you will receive a Teacher's Worksheet listing improvisational games we will play, relevant vocabulary words and improv warm-ups and games you can use in the classroom after our show.
